Due the obvious barriers of distance between international relations, what is the most effective method to communicate between two companies?

My company uses Video Conferencing. This is a lot more personable approach to contact international business partners, rather than just phone calls.

E-mail is a good way to stay in touch on a business level, if your business needs to be more personalize towards your customers/partners then I would also recommend video conferencing.

I have had trouble with my international video conferencing sometimes, but I have overall found it an affordable way to keep connected. When on the ground floor and starting things up, email and telephones worked the best. Talk to you internet provider, sometimes the cable phone line can be cheap and effective.
